Carnegie Reflection (Sandrina)

Is he doing it for his reputation or does he really want to help other people and make the world to a better place? This is a question that many people ask themselves about celebrities who donate money to organizations or who create an organization themselves. However, many other people think “why not spend my money for a good cause?” As Andrew Carnegie said, it is better to give your money away while you are still alive. You can make the decisions on what is happening with your money and you have the control over it. Bill Gates, who is one of the founders of Microsoft, is considered to be the wealthiest person in the world. He is one example of someone, who has achieved a lot during his lifetime and who decided to help other people with his money. In the year 2000, he founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Some goals of the foundation are to enhance healthcare, to reduce extreme poverty that exists in the world, and to expand educational opportunities in America. It is considered to be one of the most generous organizations in the world, which shows that the founders really wanted to make an impact on the world and help other people.
